A small fire broke out on the ground floor of a shop in Souq Haraj, prompting a section of the popular second-hand market in Najma to be closed by emergency responders earlier this morning, according to an eyewitness.

The bystander said it appeared some fabric had caught fire, but that the blaze appeared to be under control.
