After a spike in temperatures early this week, things are expected to cool down a bit after rain and heavy winds hit Qatar in a few days, forecasters have said.
“Atmospheric instability” due to a new pressure system will affect the country between Tuesday afternoon and Friday, the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) said in a statement.

The MET added:
“Skies are expected to become gradually partly cloudy to cloudy with chances for scattered rains that could become thundery and accompanied by strong winds and low visibility occasionally especially in the early times of Wednesday and Thursday.”
Maximum temps today in Doha are expected to be as high as 35C (95F).
But once the wind and precipitation sets in, highs will fall to between 29 and 33C (84F and 92C), and minimum temps will be as low as 20C (68F) at night, forecasters said.
March and the beginning of April are known as the Saraayat season, which is marked by rapid changes in weather before it officially becomes summer.
