Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund is the largest single owner of London’s most expensive commercial towers, a new study has found.
The Qatar Investment Authority owns 28 percent of the 15 most valuable skyscrapers in the UK capital, led by the £1.49bn (QR7.89bn) Shard Tower, according to the Telegraph. The newspaper cited valuation estimates by Dutch firm GeoPhy, which added that Canadian asset management firm Brookfield owned 12 percent, while all UK owners combined held less than 21 percent.
