You may have noticed these going up around Katara. They’re not paintings, they’re in-camera multiple exposure portraits as captured by our friend Omar Khalifa, a visual storyteller and director of production at The Film House.
The artist explains:
The prints are ‘in-camera’ multiple exposure portraits. I used the technique as an examination of identity. You’ll notice Qataris, labourers and officials from all sectors of society.
The technique gives me a window to their soul. They look photoshoppy, but they’re all made digitally in-camera, with a little dodging, burning and adding some texture in post.
